Code of Ethics

The following guidelines govern the way we conduct our business and how we treat our clients.

Our Code of Ethics

At Chicago Metro Home Inspectors, we believe we work for our client, the homeowner. We believe we have an ethical obligation to provide an honest home inspection that serves the best interest of our client.

We follow the InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors) Standards of Practice. We shall not engage in any practices that could be damaging to the public or bring discredit to the home inspection industry; we shall be fair, honest, impartial, and act in good faith in dealing with the potential homeowner.

We work directly for you, the potential homeowner. We will not accept or offer any disclosed or undisclosed commissions, rebates, profits, or other benefit from real estate agents, brokers or any third parties having a financial interest in the sale of the property.

The inspection and any inspection reports will remain confidential and we will not disclose the inspection report to anyone without your written permission.

We believe in continuing education and comply with both the State of Illinois and InterNACHI’s yearly standards of continuing education. We are always up-to-date on the latest technology and always taking courses to stay-up-to date on the latest trends.
